What is Pixelmon?
Pixelmon is the most popular Pokémon mod for Minecraft, bringing the complete Pokémon experience into the block world. With over 900 Pokémon from all generations (Gen 1 to Gen 9), you can experience your own Pokémon adventure – complete with catching, training, battling and trading.
The mod replaces normal Minecraft mobs with Pokémon that spawn in the game world and can be caught. You will find Pokémon in biomes that match their type: Water Pokémon at lakes and oceans, Fire Pokémon in deserts and volcanoes. On top of that, there are PokéMarts, Pokémon Centers, Gyms and even NPC trainers that challenge you.
Pixelmon uses a complete battle system based on the original Pokémon games – including status effects, type advantages, abilities and items. Whether PvP battles against other players or PvE against trainer NPCs: the battle system is surprisingly deep.
On your own Pixelmon server, you and your friends can explore the world together, trade Pokémon and battle each other. Many servers also set up their own gyms and tournaments.
